Chair the Building Committee

This committee coordinates the ongoing building maintenance activities, including:

Ongoing Maintenance

As building and grounds maintenance issues arise, determine and implement an appropriate solution. Board approval of significant expenditures will be required.

Spring Checkup

Each spring, inventory the condition of the building and grounds. Determine what summer maintenance activities are required to correct emerging problems, such as painting and landscaping issues.

Summer Maintenance

Coordinate summer maintenance activities to correct problems identified during the spring checkup.

Fall Cleanup

Schedule and coordinate fall cleanup activities (normall scheduled for the first Saturday following Labor Day). This is when we give the building and grounds a thorough cleaning, do any necessary touch up painting, make sure everything works properly, and clean up the grounds.

Special Maintenance Activities

From time to time, the building coordinator should suggest special maintenance projects. These are usually substantial efforts that will require membership authorization to pursue.
